Hi, I'm Allie

I am a journalist and senior at Brandeis University, where I study education technology, policy and politics with a minor in journalism. Originally from Bulgaria, I bring an international and multilingual perspective to my reporting.

As a news reporter for The Waltham Times and The Justice, I cover municipal policy, education, health, social services, sports and underrepresented communities. My work combines interviews, research, surveys and data analysis to make complex local issues accessible to readers. Two of my stories were the most-read Waltham Times articles in July 2026.

Outside the newsroom, I work with Philanthropy Massachusetts and the Sillerman Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy, translating research and data into clear written and visual content.
